Our History

Since its founding, The Writer’s Game LLC has grown from a small education-focused publishing firm into a national partner for schools seeking strategic development, storytelling support, and cultural transformation. What began as a mission to help educators leverage their stories has evolved into a full-service ecosystem builder for charter and private schools across the country.

Through the creation of The Culture Lab, we’ve expanded our offerings into leadership development, community engagement, school fundraising, and culture consulting. We've raised millions, built libraries, reduced disciplinary issues, and improved educator morale, all while helping leaders rethink what a thriving school culture can look like.

Our journey has been one of expansion, deepening relationships, and always centering the voices of students, educators, and communities. The future is bright, and we remain committed to transforming under-resourced schools into purpose-driven ecosystems of excellence.

    The Writer’s Game LLC founded
    Kyle S. King launches the company to help educators become published authors, build additional income streams, and gain personal agency through storytelling.

    January 2020
    Educator Author Program launches in North Carolina
    Helps local teachers begin writing and publishing their stories to generate passive income and elevate their professional profiles.

    October 2021
    Sixth book by Kyle S. King published
    Kyle’s growing influence as a writer and speaker helps expand The Writer’s Game into schools and educational conferences.

    The Culture Lab is founded
    A new division focused on transforming culture in charter and private schools through consulting, strategic planning, and capacity-building.

    February 2023
    First school partnership launched in Minnetonka, MN
    The Culture Lab partners with a high-performing charter school to support its capital campaign and development strategy.

    August 2023
    Strategic partnership formed with top-ranked private Christian school in Minnesota
    The Culture Lab is selected to support their $25 million capital campaign, connecting the school to corporate donors and strategic investors.
